It’s very convenient not to read

Messi and juicy bonuses
Once upon a time there was Messi. Not the one with the ball, but ours – the one with the promo code. And Messi loved juicy bonuses. He loved them the way cats love boxes: spot a number, and he’s already inside, questions later. But Messi did not like reading. Reading takes too long, is boring, and just gets in the way of playing.
And then one day Messi sees a headline: “Exclusive bonus of 1000 RUB”. A thousand! No-deposit! His eyes light up, his finger copies the promo code on its own, registration takes forty seconds. Everything below the headline Messi scrolled past at a speed modern browsers can’t even dream of.
Next comes the plot twist nobody expected (except the people who actually read). It turns out the bonus has to be wagered with your own money. Messi is furious. Messi goes to the “Suggest edits” form and writes us something like this: you have “xB” written there, but in reality the wagering is with real money, this is a rip-off, I am wasting my time, check what you publish, this is already the fifth casino from your ads and it is a scam every time.
Opening Pandora’s box
Of course, we checked. Opened the page. Got comfortable. The first thing that greets a visitor on this page is a red icon right in the heading. Hover over it, and it honestly warns: “Attention! Compound multi-level bonus! Read the terms carefully!” The same icon sits right next to the bonus type. We put it there on purpose, exactly for cases like this.
Let’s go down to the “Bonus description” block. The terms, four points, all nice and clear: no minimum deposit required, wager 25x bonus, no maximum withdrawal limit, bonus code and so on. And right under the list, on a separate line, with no fine print, no footnotes, and no legal Latin:
Exactly the “terrible truth” Messi angrily told us we had supposedly hidden. We did not hide it. We printed it. In a separate paragraph. Under the warning icon. On the very page where Messi took the promo code.
Know what the most touching part is? The line “I am just wasting my time”. The guy spent time registering at five casinos, making deposits (?), doing the rollover (?), and firing off an angry message to site support, but could not spare two seconds to look five centimeters below the promo code.
The variable in the equation
And this is where it is worth saying something that sounds boring, but saves both nerves and money. If you register at the fifth casino in a row and for the fifth time it turns into “a rip-off” – statistics is hinting that the variable in this equation is neither the casino nor 4LUCK.
Bonus terms can be unpleasant. Compound, multi-tier, with wagering from your own money, with a withdrawal cap, all kinds of stuff. That is exactly why we write them out in full, not just the pretty number in the headline. Our job is to tell you how it actually works. Your interest, first and foremost, is to read three lines before clicking “Play”.
Not reading is very convenient. Right up until the moment it becomes very inconvenient.

Once upon a time there was Cristiano Ronaldo. Not the one who played until 62, but ours – the one who played without bonuses. And Ronaldo never had any problems, played with his own money and knew no trouble.
PS Ivan, “Pandora’s” really hurts the eye, change it to “Pandora’s”)
Funny story, but there are plenty of such “Messis” in casinos. Most problems come not from the bonus terms, but from the fact that no one bothers to read them. It’s always better to spend a couple of minutes on the description than later accuse the casino or the site of cheating. Bonuses like attentive players.
All this is, of course, sad, you really do need to read the terms, but in defense of Messi and the like,) I want to say that in most cases the casino really, let’s say, “doesn’t fully spell out” the terms of bonuses and offers. An experienced player, of course, will never fall for it, but beginners, seeing, figuratively speaking, 500% to the deposit, the casino GIVES, and all that other marketing nonsense from the casino, get caught by it pretty often.
All this is, of course, sad, you really do need to read the terms, but in defense of Messi and the like,) I want to say that casinos, in most cases, really do, so to speak, “hold back” on the terms of bonuses and offers. An experienced player, of course, will never fall for it, but beginners, seeing, figuratively speaking, 500% on your deposit, the casino GIVES, and all the rest of the casino marketing bullshit, get caught by it pretty often.
…Well yeah, bonuses are like that, you need to get it through your head: the time for 100% “freebies” is gone for good!
So I’ll just say, “that’s why the pike is there, so the crucian carp doesn’t doze off”).
