A resident of the Canadian province of Ontario hit the top jackpot in the latest Lotto 649 draw. This draw took place on Saturday, December fourth, and a player from Ontario won the top prize – $8.8 million. In addition, another Lotto 649 player won the guaranteed $1 million jackpot.
The maximum jackpot for the next lottery draw on Wednesday, December eighth will be $5 million.
Recall that recently the owner of the Plum Canyon Shell gas station in California received $190k for selling a winning lottery ticket worth $38 million. The winner has not yet claimed their jackpot, but SuperLotto Plus officials have already reported paying compensation to representatives of the gas station that sold the ticket. The winning combination in that draw, which guarantees the $38 million top prize, was the numbers 1, 11, 27, 31, 36 and 22.
