Found an email in my spam about winning $3M

A resident of Michigan accidentally found out that she had hit a $3 million national lottery jackpot. Laura Spears said she accidentally found the letter about her jackpot in the spam folder of her email account.

Spears bought a Michigan Lottery ticket on New Year’s Eve, and it matched the first five numbers drawn. The guaranteed prize was $1 million, but she also used an additional multiplier that tripled her payout. The winner said she bought the ticket on the lottery website after seeing an ad for the upcoming drawing on Facebook.

“I couldn’t believe what I was reading, so I went into my lottery account to confirm the email,” the jackpot holder said.

With this amount the woman plans to retire at 55 and share part of the winnings with her family.
