GIFs now available in the GGPoker chat window

It’s hard to deny that GGPoker has a number of features that are unique and innovative for online poker, and here’s another confirmation of that.

This week a partnership with the GIF database GIPHY was announced, thanks to which GGPoker players can now communicate with GIFs at GG tables.

The GIPHY database contains more than a billion GIFs, and they are all now available in the GG chat window.

I generally approve of any interactivity in poker) At some point after playing for a long time it gets boring just to sit at the table and play, sometimes you want to chat, but you rarely find such people, at least on PS there aren’t many of them, so GG helps make it more fun and interesting to play) This is definitely good stuff

I remember there used to be this PKR poker or something like that, they had 2 versions of the client – regular and 3D, and the 3D was a lot of fun too, you could jump up when you won a hand and other reactions, though that room went under a long time ago(

But I don’t approve! It’s all designed to distract people from the game. It used to be simple and comfortable, and now it not only distracts from the game but also requires extra computer power. I personally play on American Cardroom, everything’s old-school and comfortable.

Totally agree. I’m fucking sick of those egg-throwings on 888 and PokerStars, the emotes on GG and so on and so forth. Sometimes it feels like for some players poker exists just for that: they sit, throw stuff, stall the time and in the end you just can’t sit at a table with such idiots.

Well I don’t know, for example I play poker for fun, so it’s okay to toss piles sometimes. But it seems if your computer can’t handle those animations or someone simply doesn’t like them you can disable that feature somewhere in the settings. On 888 you could definitely turn it off.
