Smoking marijuana in public places and on the street is still not allowed, possession of more than 7 g of the drug is punishable. But its use at home and in small amounts will be permitted.

Under the new law, citizens over 18 will be allowed to possess up to 7 g of marijuana and grow up to four cannabis plants at home. Those who do not want to grow cannabis at home can become a member of one of the special associations operating as non-profit organizations. Such smoker “clubs” will grow cannabis to distribute among members in amounts of up to 7 g per day and 50 g per month.

Georgia isn’t in the EU, but they legalized marijuana, they smoke like it’s good for their health and remember Stalin with a pipe 🙂
