Microsoft has introduced an update to Windows 11 with support for Android apps and other new features.
Now the operating system allows installing Android apps via the Amazon Appstore – this was first announced back in late October 2021.
The taskbar has also been updated. It now shows a weather widget, and the time and date are visible on all monitors – previously there was a bug that hid some elements on additional screens. The weather and news widget has returned.
Some built-in apps were redesigned too. These include Notepad, which now supports dark mode and multi-stage undo, Windows Media Player and Groove Music.
The updated version of Windows 11 is already available in Windows Update.
