A resident of the Canadian province of Ontario hit a lottery jackpot thanks to an online ticket. The winner bought a Lotto Max ticket on the OLG.ca website. Representatives of that platform said they notified the player of the jackpot by email.
The second-largest prize of $145,340 went to a player from Ottawa.
Last week OLG also announced a big Lotto Max jackpot won by a player from Brampton, Ontario. The winner – Manoharan Ponnuthurai – said he wants to spend the $70 million on a new house and travels along the Mediterranean coast.
