Decay from Hacksaw. This little slot, of course, is for a niche taste, and basically like all slots from this provider. The RTP is listed at 96 and a bit, but I have never been able to understand how they calculate it, here it is probably only based on the max win, because the game leaves a lot to be desired. In the base game it can easily eat x100 and give almost nothing back, and hitting the bonus is still impossible. I played for a very long time, took the extra spin chance, still did not hit it with that either, made a lot of spins, and decided to buy the bonus game. At first I bought the regular one, it paid back twenty percent, which is basically nothing at all. I thought, fine, I will buy one top-tier one. Yes, that is not a benchmark, but it was even worse than the regular one, gave x2-3 of the bet, which is just ridiculous. So I do not know, maybe I landed in a bad session or something else, but this slot definitely did not click with me right away, and the theme is like that too, it does not draw you in, everything is gloomy. The music is cool, sure, but the design is not for me. I will probably still try playing it, but for now the impression is not great, right now I rate it 2 out of 10

Decay by Hacksaw Gaming has a pretty specific name, DECAY, and in principle it really lives up to it. What is interesting, though, is that the latest creations from the people behind the raccoon, from a cute little animal that travels the world and tries on different professions, have turned into some kind of horror slots, with creepy visuals and music, as if you were in a Saw movie. The slot scenery shows a post-apocalyptic world ruled by terrifying zombie clowns and other freaks. The slot has the standard wild mechanic, and when three scatters land, you get the bonus. On top of that, there is a new switch mechanic, when under a certain combination the symbols can change into others. There is not much else interesting here. The bonus drop chance is very small, even if you compare the slot to the raccoon in any of its versions. The atmosphere is cool, but without bonuses and any extra mechanics, spinning it is boring and pretty tilting, since the volatility is insane. It was nice, of course, that the music changes when you win, into something more energetic, but that is probably the only plus here.

Hacksaw has recently been reissuing old slots, just changing the name and freshening up the colors a little.

Decay – a new release that fits this kind of slot perfectly. In essence, it’s just a fresher-looking little old slot called Rotten.

I tried it in an early release on Stake. I thought maybe I’d still find some differences in how the slot plays, but there were no real differences. If with similar updated slots you could at least spot small cosmetic changes before, here there is practically nothing new, just slightly brighter colors, that’s all.

I spun it for a long time with the paid feature, and aside from the usual bonuses, nothing hit, and those paid pennies anyway. And here it started to feel a bit like the old Rotten played better, even in the regular bonuses I managed to catch some big wins there. Although their volatility and max win are no different, Decay seems to play worse to me.

When I got tired of staring at those poor base spins, I went to buy the top bonuses, and whether it was just one of those sessions or something else, none of the bought ones paid off. So I stayed deep in the red and never went back to it.

Anyway, if you liked Rotten, you can try this slot too, maybe you’ll have better luck.
