I liked that the symbols pay well and there’s a high-paying symbols feature that pops up fairly often. The hefty max win of x6000 just adds more excitement for active play. At least during the long time I spent on the slot I hit over x1000 a couple of times, and I also had spins paying around x400+ three or four times. The jackpot is a problem here, of course – I never managed to see it. As for the bonus games, I guess I was lucky, and over 100 spins I very often saw at least 3 bonus rounds; most of them were over x50 which really helped boost the balance. In practice I can say that all the old slots from Pragmatic Play very often award bonuses or trigger various features within about 30 spins, so for players who like to hit bonus rounds quickly this slot is just right.

Visually it’s pretty nice: African savanna, rhinos, panthers, typical safari theme. The reels are cascading – symbols disappear after a win and new ones fall into place. But the base game itself gets boring fast. No features at all, just wilds that drop sometimes. In all the time my biggest wins were around 50x, and that was by a lucky coincidence. To get to the bonus you need to hit 4 scatters, and that takes ages. They give a choice there: more spins with a small multiplier or fewer with a bigger one. I usually take 10 spins with a 5x multiplier – seems you get enough spins and there’s a chance. I tried 5 spins with a 10x multiplier too, but mostly they’re nothing, lots of blanks. The biggest score was just over 200x, but overall nothing impressive. If you’re after big wins, look towards the likes of Bonanza or Extra Chilli – the chances are much better there.

This slot is a complete disappointment. Great Rhino Deluxe promised to be an interesting follow-up in the series, but in reality it turned out to be a waste of time and money. The RTP, stated as 96.54%, seems like fiction, because after 300 spins I ended up significantly down despite all the “features” of the slot. The free spins, which were supposed to be the main highlight, triggered only twice the whole time, and the wins in them were laughably small – x20 and x60 taking into account the subsequent respin. It’s just mockery, considering the maximum payout is supposedly x6000. Respins, of course, triggered more often, but they didn’t save the situation either. Yes, sometimes I hit a jackpot, but mostly they were penny payouts that barely covered the cost of the spins. The base game boils down to endlessly waiting for the Rhino symbol, but even its appearance doesn’t guarantee a win. The variance is so high that you can spin for a long time getting nothing but tiny handouts. This slot is clearly not for those looking for stability and predictability. Steer clear. Play with your own money and don’t get into debt!
