For a long time after release I played the Phoenix Forge slot – it has very high volatility, and to be honest I didn’t like the design or the sound at all. Even despite the advertised high RTP of over 96.5%, practically all my sessions ended in a big loss; I was only interested in the cool game mechanic that gives huge potential to hit the max payout of x5000. There were even sessions of 2-3 hours in the slot; I did at least 1000+ spins and during that time saw no more than 8 bonuses, which unfortunately paid no more than x50. Actually, over all that time I only once hit something around x350; mostly all payouts in the slot were up to x100. For the bonus round you need to catch 3 scatters, but the mechanic is such that it’s important to catch 4 or 5 to get more spins, since multipliers are preserved during retriggers in the bonus. Overall I think this slot is made exclusively for a lucky session – it’s not worth staying longer than 50 spins, and in general the first bonuses didn’t drop for me earlier than after 100 spins. From experience I can say it’s best to quit right after the first bonus, because afterwards the machine starts eating the balance too fast and you might not even see a pay on lines for 10-15 spins.
Phoenix Forge is one of those slots I don’t get and is very boring.
Here the standard bonus starts from three scatters and in the bonus all multipliers stick + it fairly often lands a WILD symbol, but none of that helps because payouts here are very rare and weak in my opinion!
The slot is very uninteresting because in fact there’s basically one bonus – payouts are rare and overall the visuals are dull.
Some years ago I played it a lot – but never saw more than x200, while the balance would fly away like crazy which is disgusting.
You can’t buy the bonus and you can only hit it manually, and I don’t know if that’s a plus or a minus but I want to say that hitting the bonus here is not a problem! Yet that doesn’t help much either.
At first glance it’s a low-variance slot – at second glance it’s unclear because it should pay out often but not much, yet it doesn’t even do that.. I don’t recommend the slot at all except maybe literally once, I doubt you’ll want to come back unless you catch a very lucky session which happens quite rarely! I gave it 4.8 only because there are slots much worse
