Honestly, I never really figured out how this mechanic works. On a win one symbol splits into four, then even smaller and so on forever while cascades fall. Sounds kind of interesting, but the slot is just awful. I don’t get why Megaclusters were invented at all. I used to love Bonanza, I actually liked Lil Devil a lot, but everything that came after seems like continuous fails, and Starclusters is the worst of them. The base game is boring to death, constant tiny payouts that are worthless. Triggering the bonus is practically impossible, I did almost a thousand spins and in all that time got only a couple of entries into the free spins. But even there nothing special: you get three or four spins, there are multipliers, but decent combos almost never happen. You can get to x10 and earn more spins, but that never happened for me in all my plays. Payouts are weak, enjoyment zero. After this slot I was really disappointed in BTG. Their Megaquads missed the mark too, and now from their games I only keep Danger High Voltage, Lil Devil and sometimes Bonanza. The rest just doesn’t grab me
Star Clusters Megaclusters is the only slot from this provider that can hold the balance for 5000+ spins, I grinded many different bonuses in this game, notably this happened on all bets up to 100 rubles – as soon as you start betting higher the balance begins to drop sharply. A decent max win of x23000 is advertised, and the high volatility of the game isn’t really felt at all, I personally get wins often and the bonuses are not rare. Although the bonuses are only 2 spins each and mostly without extra spins, they give at least x50 of the bet. I haven’t seen any huge payouts in the slot, but I’ve hit up to x400 many times. I really like the slot’s design and its unique mechanic, here the number of hits per spin is of course very important. This slot isn’t suitable purely for variety in a casino, but you can confidently grind bonuses in it. At least most players find this mechanic very boring, but for me it’s important to get a positive return, and over a long run it’s even possible to hit a big payout.
