Victorious NetEnt slot review with free demo

The Victorious slot (2011) by NetEnt is, you could say, dedicated to the great Roman army that had no equal in its time, but unfortunately its end was inevitable – Caesar “let it down”). And now all that’s left is to write books, shoot films and make slots that remind us of the Empire’s former glory…
The video slot Victorious has a 5×3 playfield and 243 fixed winning ways (left to right). There is a “Wild” symbol which, unlike a normal wild, can also substitute for the Scatter.
When three or more Scatter symbols in the form of a “Laurel Wreath” appear, the bonus game with free spins is triggered (overall multiplier x3). Three such symbols award 15 FS, four – 20, and five scatters – 25 FS. Also, a payout for the number of scatters is credited (3 pays x5, 4 – x20 and 5 – x50).
To me it used to be more generous, relatively big wins popped up both in the base game and during FS (more often). But Yeah, right, the high-paying symbols stopped paying, it’s like they were “switched off”(. The max win in the base game was about x8. And in the bonus, which took a long time to hit, it was around x20. The game ended up negative, my desire to play has gone down, although I might check it out on “max” sometime).

A very old and legendary NetEnt slot that’s definitely still relevant in 2025!

The bonus is designed for retriggers – always a nice and interesting bonus. The only downside is that you need to catch the scatters from left to right 1-2-3 reels; you can of course catch 5 and then the payout will be really good! But if you catch them out of order – they won’t give you the free spins, which is really bad and gets on your nerves.

You’re unlikely to see huge multipliers here since NetEnt’s older slots don’t have big potential (except DOA), however you can definitely have a good time playing Victorius! There can be a lot of spins in the bonus – I personally hit 8 retriggers and ended up with x520, which is pretty decent.

Unfortunately you can’t buy the bonus – but it awards it pretty often, and I’ve also seen many lines from top symbols even though the payout isn’t huge.

The design is great – the sound too – what more do you need?! It’s a shame there aren’t any interesting mechanics and it gets boring quickly since there’s only one kind of bonus… but the memories of the slot are good and even now I drop into it from time to time to refresh my memory.
