Gross gaming revenue (GGR) from all gambling companies in the state of Pennsylvania reached $415.6 million in September 2021. This is the best monthly figure for the state.
“The revenue figures across the board remain very good as the industry continues to normalize after COVID-related measures that hurt some receipts,” said Doug Harbach, director of communications for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
This year Pennsylvania gambling companies only earned more in July. Then GGR was $423.6 million.
September revenue was 46% higher than September 2020, and 48% higher than 2019.
The most money this time came from land-based slot machines ($198.8 million). Table game revenue totaled $84 million. Online gambling brought in $94.9 million, and the lowest earnings were from sports betting operators – $29.2 million.
Recall that recently the gambling regulator of the state of New Jersey reported record gambling revenue in September 2021: in one month players placed bets at sportsbooks totaling more than $1.01 billion.
“New Jersey has always been a strong gaming market. Surpassing the $1 billion mark in September is an impressive indicator of the appetite of New Jersey residents and Americans across the country who have embraced legal, regulated sports betting,” said Casey Clark, senior vice president of the American Gaming Association.
Revenue is not profit yet. @ident won’t let me lie )))
Agreed, well, nobody makes an equal sign between income = profit!
Although casino profit can also be different – total, net…)
revenue is just turnover, profit is something else ; hmm so how exactly does aggregate profit differ from net? I’ve heard taxable, balance-sheet, net – but what’s aggregate? Or are you so cool that you’re thinking in terms of a fucking pile of controlled companies? If so you’re our oligarch))) running a media holding? 😁
And what’s secret to you, that “some” have gambling establishments and non-gaming venues (restaurants, hotels, entertainment centers)… It’s obvious even to a hedgehog) 😎
