Sharapova reviewed the outcome of her third-round Australian Open meeting with Kerber

Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova commented on the result of the third-round Australian Open match against German Angelique Kerber, TASS reports.

“Angelique played very well, she was the more aggressive player and took risks much more often than I did. In the first set I returned poorly and with my errors gave her confidence. I had one small opportunity in the second set, but I made a mistake and didn’t take that chance. Kerber is very confident right now, everything went in her favor,” Sharapova said

“I think there are many things I need to work on improving. But overall the start of the year has been pretty good for me. The main thing is I’m healthy and will return to training, I won’t have to start from scratch,” the tennis player added.

The third-round match between Sharapova and Kerber ended with a score of 6:1, 6:3 in favor of the German player.
