Played Pirots X by ELK. I expected a continuation of the favorite Pirots series, but got weird vibes instead.
This time our pirate parrots are hunting for treasure, though it reminds me more of a prehistoric Aztec world. Sounds cool, and to some extent the parrots have been in every installment. Visually the slot is well done, cartoony and pretty high quality. The music is fine too. But the positives end there. The mechanics are the same as in the other entries of the series, just dressed in a different theme. The balance is about the same, volatility is high, RTP 94%, top win x10000. You can buy the bonuses. But there’s almost no fun in the process. The old vibe of the series is completely killed.
For me it’s a fail. I’m a fan of the first Pirots, and this is just disappointing. Played 20 minutes and didn’t want to continue. If you haven’t played the earlier parts, you might like it. But if you’re waiting for that same atmosphere, better not spoil it and play the previous titles. I’ll rate it 6 out of 10, and that’s only out of respect for ELK and the earlier parts of this legendary series.
If you’ve heard about the Pirots series from provider ELK, then you know about this new release too. And if you’re as into this series as I am, you probably felt the same disappointment with this failed machine. As they say, you wouldn’t call a good thing a piece of s**t. How could they ruin such a great series like this? I don’t get it. Fifteen minutes of play was enough for me to spend the next hour fighting a gag reflex – I get they wanted to make something new, different from the original, but I still don’t understand how they could disappoint us so badly.
The graphics are the same, the music is awesome, the interface is convenient – well, what you’d expect from ELK, but the old familiar mechanics are gone.
All the same parrots, but somehow they feel like strangers now.
I demand that the whole ELK development team reconsiders their behavior and finally releases Pirots 4! The way it should be, canonical, with its own ideology.
I don’t want to play this pirots, and I advise you not to spoil the impression either if you haven’t played yet. My rating is a 5, and that’s being very generous, only out of respect for the whole series
