Pure Platinum Microgaming slot review with free demo

I got acquainted with the Pure Platinum slot from Microgaming a very long time ago. Because it is at least five years old. But most likely it is older.
I only played it at Goldfishka, because back then it was the only casino where you could play for rubles. One time I went in with a balance of 200 rubles and after about 15 minutes I left with 900 rubles. And the bet was 1.2 rubles… Since then it has become one of my favorite slots from Microgaming. I drop in from time to time out of nostalgia.
The graphics are, of course, outdated, because it was made a long time ago. Nothing special. The music is fine.
The slot itself has 40 pay lines and five reels. When three or more scatters appear, the bonus game starts. And it is very unusual in the sense that it even has 50 spins. Though with only an x1 multiplier. There are also 25 spins with an x2 multiplier and 10 free spins with an x5 multiplier. I always choose only the 50 spins. It seems to me that this gives you better chances of winning. And it is nice to watch the bonus drag on for a long time. The wilds here are stacked, meaning they can cover the entire reel. One time almost the whole screen turned wild, except for a couple of squares.
Of course, there are drawbacks, but I think that can be adjusted, I just did not think to check the settings. The drawback is that if you turn on autoplay, then when a winning combination lands, the machine starts showing every winning line. And, as I already said, there are 40 of them. And that can take a long time and get tiring. I played in manual mode.
Overall, for those who have not played it, I definitely recommend at least trying it. It will not disappoint you.

I came across a Microgaming slot called Pure Platinum (I’ll just call it Platinum) totally by accident and literally a couple days ago. By accident because I meant to play a different machine and clicked this one. Well, it loaded and I decided to see what sort of slot it was.

Right away combos started hitting with decent wins thanks to the wild – sometimes x10 stake, sometimes x20, sometimes x5, then x10 again… I figured the slot was “hot” and worth spinning. After a few dozen spins I started waiting for three scatters, while the balance would go up or drop a bit…

I kept waiting for the scatter because I was curious how many spins it would give and how much it would multiply wins (didn’t want to check the paytable), and the balance began to shrink. I was already thinking of switching to another slot when it suddenly gave me a bunch of wilds – about x100, then again… So I decided to wait a bit more for scatters, thinking if that’s happening they couldn’t be far off.

Then three scatters hit… Turns out you choose 10 spins with x5 multiplier, 25 with x2, or 50 free spins without multiplier. I picked the last option and added about x100 stake to the balance. The next three scatters came about 20 spins later. I chose 50 spins again. The result was a bit worse, but fine. The third time I picked 25 free spins, but it paid less than x10 total stake. I spun a bit more and realized it was time to leave. I walked away with a nice profit.

Overall, my first impression was positive because the wins did their part, and how it goes next I don’t know, but I do plan to play the Platinum slot again. I’ll give it a “four”.
