At first, when the slot game The Magic Cauldron came out I had a positive experience – I even thought it would always play like that, because somehow I managed to hit x1100 without even collecting all the features for the bonus round, I landed a lot of top symbols. The nicely drawn slot and the sound design interested me, and a mechanic similar to Reactoonz from the provider Play’n GO only added extra excitement for active play, and the max payout of x5000 looks quite attractive. But after a week of active play I noticed how badly the balance can drop, the features started to play poorly, luckily I was mostly playing with bonus funds. In a session of over 1000 spins you could even not see the bonus feature. Recently I also popped into the slot briefly and did 100 spins – almost 50% of them were eaten and it didn’t charge even for 3 features. In short, after the single big win I didn’t see anything above x200 here, so I don’t recommend playing here for long, you can just try the game for no more than 50 spins.
I’m really negative about slots with progressives/accumulators!
There are a lot of such slots at Play’n GO – they have Wild Frames and Honey Rush – but thank God there aren’t many of those in Pragmatic Play!
The Magic Cauldron is exactly a slot with accumulators where symbols need to match and various features stack up, which then scatter wilds, etc. – the worst part is that for a proper feature you can be literally one or a couple of symbols short! And it’s already hard to trigger – you might not see it once in 100-200 spins, and here you’ll be missing by literally one symbol!
Hitting a big one here is quite possible – I once hit x600, but hitting a massive win is not realistic and I don’t think you’ll see a max win here!
I want to say that to play this slot you really need nerves of steel – I repeat, you’re constantly missing by a couple of symbols and that’s it.
The slot is very slow – sometimes you spin and the spin takes forever when you’d like it to be much faster, and that also makes you quickly get irritated and want to quit! It feels like the slot was made just to exist, not to keep the player.
One of my favorite slots. Though the other day there was a snag with it. More details in the complaint . It pleases me often.
