Beast Below from Hacksaw Gaming is a beautiful slot with a dark ocean theme, with sirens, divers, and a search for an elusive beast in the depths. The design and sound turned out really well, the immersion works great, the pace is slow to fit the underwater theme, but if you want, you can switch on turbo.

Siren wilds can land on any reel, expand from bottom to top, and each one carries a multiplier from x2 to x200. If several sirens land on one line, the multipliers add up, so you can score off a single spin, x100 often lands without any bonus at all, and sometimes the slot strings together a run and takes you into profit.

A beautiful, high-volatility slot with fast gameplay and solid potential. The design and sound work turned out really well here, it is just pleasant to jump in and spin. The core mechanic is also a great fit: the whole action is built around siren reels dropping in, which can land on any reel, unfold only from bottom to top, and each contain a multiplier from x2 to x200, meaning you can hit just about anything on a single spin here, right up to the max win at x10000. The base game is pretty engaging thanks to that mechanic, and you can often catch x50-200 just on spins, sometimes the slot can feed you a small streak, and even without seeing the bonus, you can walk away nicely in profit. There are two types of bonus free spins here. In the regular one, the chance of sirens landing is boosted, and a pink siren appears too, which is a sticky wild reel and shrinks by one cell after each spin. I won the most in the regular bonus, although I still could not push it past x1000. In the top bonus, triggered by 4 scatters, the mechanic is quite different. Up to 3 divers can land here, they expand across the whole reel, each one has 3 lives and a multiplier from x2 to x200, and the multiplier changes after every spin while the divers themselves move left and right. The potential is huge, but very often it just does not play at all, either there are no divers or the setup is all wrong. A good slot, I think it belongs in the game pool of many fans of this kind of mechanic.

Beast Below is the most controversial slot from Hacksaw. Most players know slots like this with expanding wilds and often jump in to play them, but in fact, here everything depends very heavily on how exactly the slot lands sirens and divers. Still, as a dark underwater-themed slot with monsters, treasures, and sirens, Beast Below deserves attention. In this slot, all the potential is tied to the expanding wild sirens, which can land both during regular spins and with a higher chance in the bonus. There is also the Down Below bonus, where divers appear, expand across the entire reel, have oxygen, and can move to adjacent reels, but even there it is not always realistic to win anything. And the bonus buys are pretty expensive, especially the top one for x200, I do not know why it costs so much, because most of the time it does not even pay for itself and does not give any hits. If you look at the slot without knowing it can pay x10000, then the slot is pretty nasty, 5×4 grid, 14 lines, high volatility 4/5. In the bonuses it can land almost nothing, sirens with small x’s or divers that just drift past any decent setup. The slot is beautiful, atmospheric, and has potential, but it is very grindy and at times scammy.

Well, guys, I want to share my impressions of one slot that really grabbed me – Beast Below by Hacksaw Gaming. To be honest, I’ve played tons of slots, but this one really stood out from the crowd.

How sick I am of slots like Beast Below!

Everything is centered on WILD symbols that stand up full height (not always) and the multipliers on them – basically it’s another copy of Zeus vs Hades just a bit reworked, and here the wilds don’t stick for the whole free spins!

Each picture has its own x – usually the big x is on the guy in the spacesuit, but he can have a small multiplier too! Basically you can catch one or two wilds with a huge multiplier and it’ll be fine, but on the other hand you can get three with only tiny x’s! To me it takes too much something to catch a decent multiplier.

In fact the slot isn’t as volatile as Zeus vs Hades and it’s a completely different provider, and there are lots of bonuses here that in principle are x100-x200, but I still really didn’t like the slot!

I bought the top bonuses here – a lot of them are empty and don’t even recoup half. The regular bonus is just awful and I don’t think it has any potential! And spinning it manually isn’t very pleasant or interesting… overall, to me it’s a one-time slot – just pop in and forget about it.

Beast Below – a slot with three different expanding wilds up to x200.

Hacksaw already seems to have some obsession with expanding wilds, now there are even more of them.

In this slot there are three. First, the regular green mermaids that appear for one spin. Second, the purple mermaids that gradually disappear one cell at a time from the reel. You can meet these mermaids both in regular spins and in the regular bonus with multipliers up to x200.

The third type of wild is the diving suit, which appears only in the top bonus and has three lives (lasts three turns), there can be no more than three diving suits. Still, multipliers up to x200. But here there are no mermaids.

For gameplay, it’s best to use the extra chance for x3 of the bet on the bonus. No point buying the bonus, bonuses drop well even with the chance, even the top ones. If you’re playing without the chance and after 50 spins the bonus hasn’t hit and the mermaids aren’t keeping the balance up, you can confidently quit – nothing will happen.

Records in this slot are small, x600 in the regular and x1500 in the top; on one spin I had three diving suits with low multipliers.

The slot has an interesting and unusual mechanic, I definitely recommend playing it.

The siren bonus is 10 spins with wild symbols that expand upwards, reaching the top of the grid, each time they become part of a win after expanding.
In addition, siren wins get multipliers up to x200 that are applied to any win they land on. If several sirens are on the same winning line, their multipliers are added together and then multiplied with the payouts. Yellow sirens appear in the base game and disappear after each spin. Special pink sirens can also appear. Sirens stay on the reels where they appeared, moving one row at a time until they are removed from the reels. Pink sirens have the same multipliers as yellow ones, from x2 to x200. There’s also the possibility to retrigger the bonus feature – 2 FS symbols give you an extra 2 spins; 3 FS symbols give an extra 3 spins.
The diver bonus is 10 spins with expanding Wild Divers symbols, which when they land always fully expand and cover the entire reel. Each diver is given 3 full oxygen charges, and they disappear from the reels as soon as their oxygen reaches 0. At the start of each spin players can move to adjacent reels, which consumes 1 charge. In this case the displayed multiplier value for the Diver can also change. As with the wild Sirens, divers get multipliers up to x200. No more than 3 divers can land on the reels at once, and extra spins can be earned if FS symbols land during the feature as follows: 2 FS symbols give 2 extra spins, 3 FS symbols give 4 extra spins.
This slot is one of my favorites, and overall I like the provider. Many times I just caught top bonuses with spins that gave x2000-3000. In the regular ones I never hit more than x200-300. Sometimes a single spin would give 2-3 sirens and the slot would pay x100-150.
