Octo Attack is one of my favorite slots from Hacksaw.

The slot is done in such bright-dark colors, the octopus itself looks formidable, but at the same time cute. I also like the music, it’s unobtrusive. The symbols are well drawn. In general, there are no problems with the design.

Regarding the gameplay itself, the slot has an interesting mechanic. You need to collect combinations and catch this octopus, he chooses a symbol and covers the cells where the winning combinations were with them.

But catching the bonus game is a bit tough. So I always enable the activation feature to increase the chance of the bonus dropping. With it they appear much more often. The game also has a purchase for a regular and a top bonus game. I like the top one here, because it only captures wilds and free spins. In the regular one Octo captures all symbols and can also capture free spins if they drop.

My biggest win was x2800. I’ve hit around x2500 more than once. There were of course small wins too, x100-200. But more often everything pays off.

Overall, the slot is cool, the mechanic is fire. I recommend it to everyone. Rating 10 out of 10.

I played this slot about 8-10 times and I didn’t like it at all. I somehow didn’t see any potential in it, even though the slot shows a max win of x10000. It seemed to me too hard to hit a big win. I caught all kinds of bonuses from simple to top-tier. Wins were always tiny. Bonuses for some reason were always easy to get, sometimes I caught 3-4 in one session. The slot has medium volatility and you can feel that right away, because it always kept a decent balance. In my opinion, this top provider has games that are much more interesting and better. Yes, maybe I was just unlucky, but slots get added to my favorites after wins.
Overall the game is for a specific taste, I know many people like this game, but for me personally it’s not my slot. I’d rather choose Wanted and other big-win slots. If bonuses are dropping in all slots from this provider, then I’ll play this one too.

A top RTP of 96.27% is attractive. The game’s cluster payout system requires 5 to 26+ matching symbols to form a winning cluster anywhere on the 6×5 grid. These clusters connect horizontally and/or vertically, offering multiple ways to win. You need 3+ regular FS scatters in view to trigger the bonus round, and you get as many free spins as the scatters that triggered it. Ink spots persist between free spins until they are used. The slot is not bad with decent chances for a big win. I was curious to play it, though I didn’t see any big wins.

Hacksaw work for the players, now they’ve developed a mechanic that removes the need to use an extra bet to trigger the bonus.

The slot has an octopus feature that places on the spot of the played tiles any symbol it captures, these can even be wilds and scatters. So there’s no point wasting money on an extra bet, it’s better to spin this slot at a higher stake, and if the feature hasn’t triggered the bonus within the first 25 spins, just quit. I’ve landed top bonuses many times through this feature.

The difference between the regular and top bonus isn’t very big, in the top one the octopus can only capture wilds. In both bonuses all accumulated cells are reset when they’re played via the feature.

Most interestingly, the biggest x I hit was in the regular bonus, x1200, almost the entire field played. I thought it would scamm, but it placed wilds, pity it was with a small number of x’s, otherwise it could have been a max win.

Definitely, I recommend the slot to play, since even in a regular spin it can set a field of wilds.

Pretty decent slot machine Octo Attack, though honestly I didn’t like the graphics and sound, but I really liked the new game mechanic. Decent and quite workable features in the slot, for example Bonushunt Featurespins, which increases the chance of triggering the bonus game to x3 of the bet (when enabled bonuses drop very often). The Tentacular Featurespins at x50 of the bet gives a guaranteed shark symbol and the more spins played the bigger the win, though it’s important that the shark picks a high-paying symbol – notably in this feature the shark symbol can drop more than once, and there’s a chance to catch either a regular or a super bonus.

Two different bonus games, the regular Eighth Arm is the Charm (buy cost x100 of the bet) and the super-bonus Give me Eight (purchase x300 of the bet). It’s worth noting that in the regular bonus additional bonus games drop very often, so it’s important to get as many spins as possible before the shark symbol lands, up to closing all the tiles; also bear in mind that after each shark drop you need to get spins again for a full win (activated tiles are not retained). The difference with the super-bonus is the frequent appearance of wild symbols with multipliers – when the feature activates and the shark lands you can fill the whole screen with wild symbols and because of the multiplier get the maximum payout of x10000.

Octo Attak is one of the best relatively recent releases and rightfully takes a place in my favorite slots!

Payouts look small at first glance – however you need to consider that the slot can put a full field of wilds or regular symbols + also multipliers on them!

The bonus spins are very interesting, I’d say every time I watch the bonus I get a small dose of adrenaline and I definitely like that!

The feature where a stacked mystery symbol drops and then replaces them with wilds is a great feature that I consider one of the best.

My gaming session on Octo Attak has been pretty successful, bonuses hit often and are mostly quite decent. I haven’t hit a huge multiplier or a maxwin of course – but x500 happens reliably about once a week.

Of course, like the whole haskav, the payouts from base game here are pretty weak, I don’t go into the slot just for a bonus.. but if people are buying somewhere I definitely go into it – bonus buy is standard, there’s a normal and a top bonus, the top bonus is worth the money and attention! I’ll repeat that overall it’s an excellent new release and I hope the provider keeps releasing similar slots.
